Motonosumi Shrine
元乃隅神社
Motonosumi Shrine stands on a cliff above the sea in Nagato and is famous for its long line of red torii gates. The shrine was founded in 1955. Its 123 torii gates were donated over ten years from 1987 and run for more than 100 meters from the Ryugu no Shiofuki sea spray spot. Visitors also look for the offering box placed high on top of a torii gate.
