Nachi Falls is Japan's tallest waterfall, dropping 133 meters in one go from a forest on Mt. Nachi. Since ancient times, people have worshipped the falls as a sacred place, and today it is the sacred object of Hiro Shrine at its foot. Visitors can see the falls from a viewing platform, and a stone staircase leads up to Kumano Nachi Taisha and Seiganto-ji Temple with its three-storied pagoda.
