Hakuto Shrine
白兎神社
Hakuto Shrine in Tottori City is linked to the old Japanese myth of the White Rabbit of Inaba. In the story, the rabbit helped bring together a god and a princess, so the shrine is known as the setting of "Japan's first love story." Along the grounds is Mitarashi Pond, where the rabbit is said to have washed its wounds. The pond's water level is said to stay the same all year.
