Tips for Muslim visitors
- During cherry blossom season (usually late March to early April), hundreds of thousands of people visit every day.
- As-Salaam Masjid (Okachimachi), at 4-6-7 Taito, Taito City, is open 11:00–21:00 according to the Tokyo Muslim travelers' guide.
- Halal restaurants listed in the Ueno area include Halal Wagyu Yakiniku IWASAKI Ueno and Sankyu Halal Ramen Japanese Food.
- Natural sites may have few facilities. Bring water, a travel prayer mat and a qibla app, and check the weather; mountains and lakes can be much colder than the city.
- Restrooms for wudu can be far apart on trails. Many Muslim travellers carry a small water bottle for wudu.
