Asakusa Nakamise Street

Asakusa Nakamise Street

仲見世通り

Nakamise is a 250-meter shopping street that leads from the Kaminarimon Gate to the Hozomon Gate of Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple. It is one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan and keeps the feel of an Edo-period downtown. About 90 stalls sell souvenirs, traditional goods and snacks. It is a lively place to walk before or after visiting the temple.
