Uzu-no-Michi (Onaruto Bridge Walkway)
大鳴門橋遊歩道 渦の道
Uzu-no-Michi is a 450-meter walkway built inside the girder of the Onaruto Bridge, part of the route connecting Honshu and Shikoku. At the end there is an observatory with glass floor panels about 45 meters above the sea. From here you look straight down at the fast tidal currents and, at the right times, the famous Naruto whirlpools.

March–September 9:00–18:00; October–February 9:00–17:00 (last entry 30 minutes before closing). Longer hours in Golden Week and summer holidays.

Closed on the second Monday of March, June, September and December.
- Admission
Adults 510 yen, junior/high school students 410 yen, elementary school children 250 yen.
- Getting there
About 20 minutes by Naruto city bus from JR Naruto Station, or 60 minutes by Tokushima Bus from JR Tokushima Station, to the "Naruto Koen" stop.

Tips for Muslim visitors
- The walkway is 450 meters long, with an observatory at the end where glass panels let you look down on the tidal currents from 45 meters above the sea.
- The currents you see are linked to the tides, so check the tide times before you go.
- Natural sites may have few facilities. Bring water, a travel prayer mat and a qibla app, and check the weather; mountains and lakes can be much colder than the city.
- Restrooms for wudu can be far apart on trails. Many Muslim travellers carry a small water bottle for wudu.
