Miho Shrine
美保神社
Miho Shrine is in the harbour town of Mihonoseki, at the eastern tip of the Shimane Peninsula. It is the head shrine of more than 3,000 Ebisu shrines across Japan. The shrine honours two deities, Mihotsuhime-no-Mikoto and Kotoshironushi-no-Kami (also known as Ebisu). Both are closely linked with music, and dedication concerts are sometimes held in the grounds.
