Tips for Muslim visitors
- Plan at least 90 to 120 minutes to see the exhibits, including walking between the buildings.
- The museum building is about 500 meters (7 to 8 minutes' walk) from the Reception Pavilion; the electric shuttle may be suspended at peak times.
- You may eat your own packed lunch in the Reception Pavilion eating area and on the outdoor benches, but not in the restaurant or tea room.
- Museums are quiet, indoor places that are good for a break, but few have a prayer room. Staff may let you use a quiet corner if you ask politely.
- Photography rules change by exhibition. Check the signs before taking pictures.
- Plan your visit around prayer times. Below are today's prayer times for Shiga and the verified places to pray nearby.
