Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine
川越氷川神社
Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine is an old Shinto shrine in Kawagoe, said to have been founded about 1,500 years ago, in 541. The five deities enshrined here are a family that includes two married couples, so the shrine has long been known for good relationships and matchmaking. It holds seasonal events such as a wind-chime display. Visitors can walk the grounds and see traditional shrine buildings.
