Yoshinogari Historical Park

吉野ヶ里歴史公園

Yoshinogari Historical Park is a national park built on one of the largest Yayoi-period archaeological sites in Japan. The Yayoi period lasted from about 500 BC to AD 300, and excavations here began in 1986. Many buildings, such as watchtowers, houses and fences, have been carefully reconstructed. Visitors can walk through the ancient village and join hands-on workshops using old techniques with fire and stone.
