Expo '70 Commemorative Park is a large cultural park on the former site of the 1970 Japan World Exposition (Osaka Expo). Its grounds cover 260 hectares, with seasonal flowers and various events. Visitor information

Opening hours: 9:30–17:00 (last entry 16:30).
Closed: Closed every Wednesday and during the New Year holidays.
Admission: Adults (high school age and older) 450 yen; children free.
Getting there: About 5 minutes on foot from Bampaku-Kinen-Koen Station (Osaka Monorail).
Time needed: Half a day to a full day.

Tips for Muslim visitors

The park is very large, about 260 hectares, so plan enough time if you want to see several areas.
Natural sites may have few facilities. Bring water, a travel prayer mat and a qibla app, and check the weather; mountains and lakes can be much colder than the city.
