Pia Bandai is a large fresh food market by the port in central Niigata City. Locals call it "Pia Bandai". It is one of the biggest markets on the Sea of Japan coast, with seafood and local products from Niigata. Visitors walk through the shops, see fresh fish and buy local food and souvenirs.
