Sun Messe Nichinan

サンメッセ日南

Sun Messe Nichinan is a hillside park in Nichinan. Its symbol is a row of seven Moai statues, full-size replicas of Ahu Akivi made with official permission from the elders of Easter Island (Rapa Nui). Each statue is said to bring a different kind of luck, and the park also has other monuments such as the Earth Gratitude Bell.

Visitor information

Opening hours: Open 9:30–17:00.
Closed: Closed on Wednesdays (open as usual during New Year, Golden Week, Obon and national holidays).
Admission: Adults 1,000 yen; junior high and high school students 700 yen; age 4 and over 500 yen.
Getting there: About 40 minutes by car from Miyazaki Airport. Free parking for 220 cars.
