Kochi Castle
高知城
Kochi Castle stands on a hill in the center of Kochi City and is the symbol of the prefecture. It was first built in the early 1600s, and it is one of Japan's twelve castles with an original keep. It is the only castle in Japan where both the original keep and the main palace remain. From the top floor you can see a wide view over the city, and the grounds are popular for cherry blossoms in spring.
