Minato Mirai 21 is a modern waterfront district of Yokohama built on reclaimed land. It has spacious museums, shopping malls, office towers and hotels, with harbor-side parks and night illuminations. The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is one of the city's best-known sights, made of brick buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras, now home to shops, cafes and event spaces. Next to it, the Red Brick Warehouse Pier is a terminal for sightseeing boat cruises.
Red Brick Warehouse: Building No. 1 10:00–19:00; Building No. 2 11:00–20:00 (cafes and restaurants vary by shop).
Red Brick Warehouse closes once a year for a facility inspection day.
Red Brick Warehouse: 6-minute walk from Bashamichi or Nihon-Odori Station (Minatomirai Line); 15 minutes from Kannai or Sakuragicho Station (JR / Blue Line).
