Marine Port Kagoshima

マリンポートかごしま

Marine Port Kagoshima is a man-made port area in Kagoshima City, run by Kagoshima Prefecture. It is the city's international cruise base, and in March 2022 a berth for cruise ships of 220,000 tons was completed. Around the cruise terminal there are lawns, viewing decks, a fountain and walking paths. Visitors come here to walk, relax and look out over the bay.

Opening hours

Open 6:00–20:00 (April–June, September–October), 6:00–21:00 (July–August) and 7:00–19:00 (November–March). It is closed after these hours.

Getting there

About 750 m from Wakita bus stop on Route 225, or about 1,200 m from JR Usuki Station or Wakita tram stop.

  • Fishing, ball games such as baseball and using fire are not allowed.
