Shiroyama Park Observatory
城山公園展望台
Shiroyama is a green hill in the middle of Kagoshima City. Its observatory is popular for the wide view of the Sakurajima volcano in Kinko Bay and the city below, and the night view is also famous. In 1877 a fierce battle of the Satsuma Rebellion, the last war of the samurai, took place here. The 2-km Shiroyama Nature Trail is good for a walk.
