Tips for Muslim visitors
- Kenrokuen has free early-morning opening; during this time you can enter only through the Renchimon and Zuishinzaka gates.
- The garden paths are paved with gravel and can be slippery in places.
- Natural sites may have few facilities. Bring water, a travel prayer mat and a qibla app, and check the weather; mountains and lakes can be much colder than the city.
