Kanazawa Castle Park
金沢城公園
Kanazawa Castle was built by the Maeda clan and was the seat of their rule over the Hokuriku region. It served as the political, economic and cultural center of the area. Today the park has restored gates, turrets, gardens and moats. Visitors can see the Ishikawa-mon Gate, which keeps its Edo-period look, and go inside rebuilt buildings such as the Hishi-yagura Turret and Gojikken-nagaya Storehouse.
