Ami Premium Outlets

あみプレミアム・アウトレット

Ami Premium Outlets is a large outlet shopping mall in Ami Town, in southern Ibaraki. It was the third Premium Outlets center in the Kanto area, after Gotemba and Sano. About 160 Japanese and international brand stores are here, along with restaurants and a food court. It is right next to an interchange of the Ken-O Expressway, so it is easy to reach by car.

Visitor information

Opening hours

March to January 10:00–20:00; February only 10:00–19:00. Restaurants open until 20:00.

Closed

Closed once a year; the next closing day is February 25, 2027.

Getting there

Route bus from the east exit of JR Arakawaoki Station (Joban Line) bound for the outlets, about 22 minutes.

By car, directly connected to Ami-Higashi IC on the Ken-O Expressway. Free parking.

Good to know

Wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge at the Information Center.
Since November 1, 2026, Japan's tax-free shopping uses a refund system; check the conditions at the center.

Tips for Muslim visitors

Some large shopping centres and outlets have a prayer room or can offer a quiet space. Ask at the information counter.
Food courts have many different shops. Ask each shop about pork, lard and alcohol (including mirin and sake used in cooking).
