Kobe Muslim Mosque
神戸ムスリムモスク
Kobe Muslim Mosque is the oldest mosque in Japan, built in 1935 with donations from Turkish, Tatar and Indian merchants living in Kobe. It survived World War II and the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and is still a place of worship for Muslims in Japan. It stands a short walk downhill from the Kitano area with its old Western-style houses.
