サッポロビール博物館

The Sapporo Beer Museum is a company museum in Sapporo about the history of the Sapporo Beer brand. Its story goes back to a brewery business started by the Hokkaido Development Commission (Kaitakushi) in 1876. Visitors follow a one-way, self-guided route with exhibits on the company's history. Beer is served at the tasting hall, and non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks are also available there.

Visitor information

Opening hours: The museum (self-guided tour) is open 11:00 AM–6:00 PM; last admission is 5:30 PM.
Closed: Open all year, but all buildings close on December 31 and may close temporarily.
Admission: Self-guided tour: adults 1,000 yen; middle school age to 19: 500 yen; elementary school and under: free.
Getting there: About 8 minutes on foot from the North Exit of JR Naebo Station (Hakodate Main Line).

Alcohol is served in the tasting hall, but non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks are available (200 yen each).
The route has ramps and stairs; visitors with disabilities or strollers should use the small elevator.
