Farm Tomita (Furano)
ファーム富田
Farm Tomita is a flower farm in Nakafurano, central Hokkaido, whose history goes back to 1903. Lavender has been grown here since 1958, and its Traditional Lavender Field is known as one of the oldest lavender fields in Japan. The farm became famous after its fields appeared on a national JR calendar in 1976. From late June to early August, different flowers bloom one after another, covering the hills in purple and other colors, with the Tokachi mountains in the background.

Tips for Muslim visitors
- Farm Tomita has a prayer space on the 2nd floor of the Hanabito House, according to the Hokkaido Tourism Organization. Hours follow the farm's season (about 8:30-17:00).
- Natural sites may have few facilities. Bring water, a travel prayer mat and a qibla app, and check the weather; mountains and lakes can be much colder than the city.
- Restrooms for wudu can be far apart on trails. Many Muslim travellers carry a small water bottle for wudu.
