Hanamiyama Park
花見山公園
Hanamiyama is a privately owned hill of flowering trees in Fukushima City. Local farmers began planting it many decades ago, and the family opened it to the public as a park in 1959. In spring the hillsides are covered with cherry, plum and other blossoms. Visitors stroll up paths from the foot of the hill to the top.

Tips for Muslim visitors
- The official guide map shows walking courses of about 30, 45 and 60 minutes (full loop), plus a 50-minute Flower Valley course, so you can choose a length that fits around prayer times.
- The area around Hanamiyama is a village of flower-tree farmers; visitors are asked not to enter the flower fields or private land.
- Visitors are asked not to come late at night or in the early morning, and to take their rubbish home.
- Natural sites may have few facilities. Bring water, a travel prayer mat and a qibla app, and check the weather; mountains and lakes can be much colder than the city.
- Restrooms for wudu can be far apart on trails. Many Muslim travellers carry a small water bottle for wudu.
- Plan your visit around prayer times. Below are today's prayer times for Fukushima and the verified places to pray nearby.
