Canal City Hakata

キャナルシティ博多

Canal City Hakata is a large shopping and entertainment complex in Fukuoka, built around an artificial canal. It opened in 1996 and has a shopping mall, restaurants and two hotels. Water fountain shows are held along the canal, and the complex is popular with visitors from abroad. Free Wi-Fi is available, and there are both tax-free and non-tax-free shops.

About 7 minutes on foot from JR Hakata Station, or directly from the Nishitetsu bus stop "Canal City".
