Katsuyama Castle Museum
勝山城博物館
Katsuyama Castle Museum is a registered museum that opened in 1992 in a castle-style tower with five roofs and six floors. From the stone base to the roof ornaments it is 57.8 metres high, which the prefecture describes as the tallest in Japan. Inside are armour and weapons, textiles from daimyo families, and folding screens showing battles from many regions. It is a modern building, not an original castle.
