Narita Airport Onsen Sora no Yu

成田空港温泉空の湯

Sora no Yu is a hot spring bathing facility in Shibayama Town, close to Narita Airport. Its water comes from fossil seawater about 1,000 meters underground and is rich in iodine, which is rare in the world. The water feels smooth on the skin. It is a place to relax before or after a flight.

Free shuttle bus from Narita Airport Terminals 2 and 3, about 10 minutes.

Good to know

People with tattoos cannot use the 3rd-floor baths, but can reserve a private bath on the 2nd floor.

Tips for Muslim visitors

A private bath (kashikiri-buro) is listed among the facilities, an option for those who prefer not to use the shared baths.
The facility has a cafe and bar that serves alcohol as well as soft drinks and ice cream.
It is not inside the airport terminal: a free shuttle bus takes about 10 minutes from Narita Airport Terminals 2 and 3.
At most public hot springs in Japan people bathe naked, in baths separated by gender, and swimwear is usually not allowed. If you prefer privacy, look for a private bath (kashikiri-buro), an in-room bath or a foot bath.
Wash your body at the shower area before entering the bath. Many visitors who want to stay covered choose a foot bath instead.
