Makuhari Messe is a large convention center in the Makuhari area of Chiba City. It opened in 1989 as Japan's first full-scale multi-purpose convention facility. It has an exhibition hall with 11 halls and a conference hall with many meeting rooms. Visitors come here for trade shows, exhibitions, concerts and other events.
