Osu Kannon and Osu Shopping Street
大須観音・大須商店街
Osu Kannon is a Buddhist temple in central Nagoya. It was moved from Osu Village in Mino Province to its present place by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1612. Around the temple is the Osu shopping district, a large and lively area with over 1,200 shops and restaurants, from electronics and second-hand clothes to cafes. An antique market is held at the temple on the 18th and 28th of each month.
